Opportunity to Join the DSHS Direct Care Workforce Collaborative
Caregiver Advisory Members Sought by Feb. 27, 2026
The DSHS Direct Care Workforce Collaborative is adding more community members in 2026. This volunteer advisory group is made up of caregivers who work in a variety of settings. They provide input on programs and policies focused on recruiting, supporting and retaining caregivers across Washington state.
Right now, we are seeking caregivers:
- With long-term experience working in group settings based in rural areas. This could be assisted living, adult family homes, skilled nursing facilities or enhanced services facilities.
- Or who are unpaid providing in-home care to a family member.
Key things to know:
- DCWC members attend six meetings each year. The two-hour meetings in 2026 will be from 2-4 p.m. February 19, April 16, June 18, August 20, October 15 and December 17.
- All meetings are virtual using Zoom. There is also a call-in option.
- Members may be offered compensated for their time (subject to available budget).
